Yes indeed, sometimes it rains in Orlando.
It does not rain inside Ripleys Orlando, however, so if a downpour has quenched the desire to wander along a midway or through an Orlando theme park, take the kids inside out of the rain, or even a too hot sun, and spend a few hours enjoying the air-conditioned attractions inside Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Odditorium.
A visit to Ripley’s is marginally educational (don’t tell the kids) but mostly, it is a comfortable place to see some really odd stuff, to play with a bunch of hands on displays, or to wander about some of the wonders of the world.
What is really fascinating as you drive into their very tight parking lot on International Drive (more parking is available around the side) is how the whole building appears to be sinking into… well, a Florida sinkhole. Neat stuff. They play on this theme a lot at Ripley’s Orlando.
Kids of all ages will be entertained, you won’t be tempted to stop and have a nap (it is quite loud in spots), and at the end of the visit you can wander the small, but well stocked shop to pick up some Ripleys souvenirs.
The Ripley’s Odditorium is open 365 days a year, from 9:30 a.m.
And yes, you do want to come and see all the rest of the neat stuff when you are visiting Orlando Florida attractions, even if it isn’t raining!
