Folks, we had a wonderful time discovering the Crayola Experience in Orlando Florida. This article provides tons of information about this seven-year-old Orlando attraction along with lots of photos and videos of what we experienced there.
As adults (We think we are anyway!) we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent here at the Crayola Experience though this wonderful attraction in Orlando is clearly aimed at children and parent-with-child groups.
The co-author of this article was an early childhood educator and suggests that the optimal age range for young persons visiting the Crayola Experience with their care-giver would be between 3 and 10 years. Still, there are some attractions that older kids will enjoy as well. Regardless of the guest’s age, the Crayola Experience provides all children and adults multiple opportunites to indulge in creative play in numerous ways.
Entering the Crayola Experience in Orlando.
There were lots of folks lined up for entry into the main lobby of this Florida attraction when we arrived at 09:45. The doors open to the public at 10:00. After 10:00 we waited in the car for a few minutes until all the folks already in line had entered. Then, upon our entry saw that Crayola’s efficient system had already welcomed all the early arrivals through check-in and into the facility in the few minutes before we entered.
The Crayola Experience is all-visitor friendly!
Yes, there are a couple of sets of stairs that you’ll encounter after you check in to get visitors to the attraction level on the second floor. Those prefering it (caregivers with children in strollers for example) can also opt to use the self-serve elevator beside the stairs to get to the attractions floor.
Food is available during the day for those wishing snacks or light meals. Restrooms are readily available on the attractions floor, and there is also a nursing room available.
Receive a Crayola loot bag on check in.
Every guest gets a loot bag at check in. Among the items already in that bag are a couple of tokens which can be used to access some of the equipment that requires tokens of visitors. The goodies acquired using the tokens can be taken home in that same loot bag.
We were dazzled by the array of attractions and the wonderful Crayola colors throughout the 2nd floor!
The first attraction on the right as we entered is the Crayola Wrap it Up attraction. At this stations guests (both adults and children) can select a crayon in the color of their choice. Then the provided equipment in this attraction is used to design, print and then apply their own custom crayon label. It’s hands-on-fun. Older persons may have to help the younger ones with the actual wrapping process.
This next photo depicts just one of the many activity stations throughout the Crayola Experience. There will likely be lots of kids and adults there when you visit. The Crayola premises are designed to handle large numbers of guests, allowing folks to disperse among the many and varied activities and attractions. We’re not saying there won’t be lineups at some of the attractions during your visit, as there likely will be. It’s often simpler just to skip one activity if it’s busy and to come back to it later. There’s lots of time to see and enjoy all of the Crayola Experience, depending on each little person’s preferences and needs, of course!
Ready for some interactive entertainment at Crayola? How about Stomp and Play?
And here is another video of the Stomp and Play floor which is good fun for the kids (big & little!) to enjoy at Crayola.
There is lots of drawing and coloring throughout the Crayola Experience – as can be expected.
The Colossal Caddy offers a couple of dozen kids and adults at-a-time tthe space to draw and color with dozens of crayons and colors on the provided coloring sheets.
I was interested seeing how many care givers were coloring away on their own, some with tongues tucked out, so focused on staying within the lines on their paper as the children colored with abandon right beside them.
Rainbow Rain anyone?
This one was a big hit, with lineups quickly forming. We waited for a lull to get this video, but really, lots of kids can play here at the same time, and they were!

This looks like a lot of fun – even for adults. Maybe especially for adults!
